Nursing Home Update

Posted in General on January 25, 2012

The Kentucky Legislative Session is in full swing, and your State Representatives are being placed under a full court press from the National Nursing Home industry! This multi-billion dollar industry is trying to create a bill that will allow Nursing Homes to continue their short staffing, their negligence, and the injuries to your loved ones.

Please call your State Representatives at (800) 372-7181 and leave a message with the Legislative Message Center that you are opposed to any such legislation.  The Nursing Home Industry is trying to put profits before patients.  We can’t let that happen!

Also, if you are concerned about making sure your loved ones continue to have access to the court system if they are injured in a nursing home, join the Consumer Voice’s Action Network.  They are helping fight the battles in Frankfort and across the country.  Join the Consumer Voice’s Action Network by going to www.theconsumervoice.org and clicking on the green box that says “Sign up for the Consumer Voice Action Network” and then filling out the form.  Joining is free.

Thank you for your help in preserving the Civil Justice System for today and tomorrow!
